Sometimes, what you really need is a great big dildo.  Maybe you need it to accessorize for your next party, maybe you need a little something masculine for your altar, or maybe that special someone just knows what they like!  No matter what, you’ll be ready to give it to ’em with the Tantus T-Rex and a lot of lube.

Nowhere near actual size

The Tantus T-Rex lives up to its name

Let’s get the obvious, most important point out of the way first: the T-Rex is big.  This high-quality silicone dildo by Tantus measures 2-1/4″ across and 6-7″ insertable length.  I think that numbers don’t really communicate the massive-feeling girth of this toy, so you’re well-advised to check out the video above so you can see how it looks in relation to other objects, like a hand (I can’t even get mine all the way around it!).
So, other than its hulking presence, what else is there to know about the T-Rex?  Well, it’s by Tantus, and that means it’s high-quality.  It is also quite lovely, and could be considered a functional piece of art.    It’s nicely detailed, with some well-formed ridges, ‘veins,’ and other flourishes, enough to make it semi-realistic, but not enough to make it uncannily so.  Since it’s made from high-quality silicone, it’s easily cleanable (like most Tantus toys)–you can boil it, run it through the dishwasher without soap or bleach, or wash it with antibacterial hand soap.  It’s also fairly heavy, around 1.5-2 pounds.  Since it’s got some attached balls, it’s harness-compatible, but be aware that you’ll need a larger ring than most other harness-compatible dildos, and a stretchy one at that.   It has a nice bit of flexibility, but is still firm enough to be usable for anal play.
Bottom line, make sure you’re really looking for something this large and get a sense for how thick it is.  If you do want a large toy, this is a fantastic one, because it is difficult to find high-quality toys in this size.  If it’s what you’re looking for, you’re very likely to be happy with the T-Rex.  And, hey, even if you don’t know anyone who can take it, you can wear it around to make one hell of a first impression.

They say that the winter holidays are a time for giving and that giving is more fun than receiving, but I think that you can have fun on either end–or both–with this toy.  The Cush is a dual-density silicone dildo by Tantus with a semi-realistic shape and a gorgeous, unrealistic color.  It’s on the hefty side of moderate (see the video) and plenty firm with a wide flared base, for fun anywhere you want to put it.  In addition to the great feel of the firmer core and the somewhat softer outer layer, this is a uniquely beautiful dildo.  It makes use of having two layers of silicone by putting a frosty white color over a rich purple core.

The Tantus Cush is a gorgeous and delicious-feeling silicone dildo
Like the previously reviewed Tantus Bandit and Mark, the Cush is a dual-density dildo; it has a firm silicone core, with a softer, squishier silicone outer layer.  As with the Bandit and Mark, this dual-density silicone gives the Cush a deliciously realistic feel.  The Cush’s density is a little firmer than some other dual-density toys, making it plenty flexible but not too much so.  It has a very nice feel to the touch and is enjoyable to squeeze with a hand or other body parts.  The Cush’s 6.5″ are pleasantly smooth with some texturing on the shaft, and its 1.75″ width gives it some nice heft.
The best part, however, of the Cush is how beautiful it is.  Unlike the Bandit and Mark, which are flesh-colored, the Cush embraces an unrealistic aesthetic, with a frosted-white outer layer and purple core.  The purple of the core peeks through differently depending on the thickness of the outer layer in the given area, and gives it a very pretty sort of “icicle with snow on top” look.
As far as I’m concerned, the Cush doesn’t really have any downsides or caveats to speak of.  As usual, it is important to note that since the Cush is a silicone toy, it shouldn’t be used with silicone lubricant.  This is particularly important for these dual-density toys, as the squishy outer layer of silicone can be particularly vulnerable to a conflict with silicone lube.

Sometimes, the perfect penis is an absolutely average-sized one.  You mean, you gotta figure that Mother Nature knew what she was doing with the design specs, there.  However, I do have to admit that a dildo with rainbow stripes might even be  a little bit extra-perfect.  No offense, Mother Nature!  So, is the Rainbow Amor the most perfect penis of all?  Read on to find out.

  • Toy: Rainbow Amor (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Dildo, harness-compatible, rainbow-colored!
  • Manufacturer: Fun Factory
  • Material: Silicone
  • Price: $65

Babeland's limited-edition Rainbow version of the Amor is deliciously colorful

Fun Factory spoils us so.  Not only do they may fantastic, body-friendly and oh-so-good toys, they’re now releasing a delightfully colorful version of their Amor dildo: it’s the Rainbow Amor!

Other than the beautiful coloring (and, seriously, look at how cute and pretty that is), what makes the Rainbow Amor so great?  It’s made from medical-grade silicone, so it’s body-friendly, but it has some give that is reminiscent of old-school extra-firm jelly toys without all the health risks.  It has a soft, flexible flared base that is comfortable against the pubic bone when worn in a strap-on harness.  Its curved shape is moderate but noticeable, gives nice G-spot pressure, and feels filling without being a large toy.  For those who prefer a more realistic size, the Amor is 5.5″ long and 1.5″ wide, which is about the national average for penis size.

And, finally: HELLO, IT IS RAINBOW-COLORED.  How awesome is that?

There aren’t any downsides to the Rainbow Amor, per se, but it may have some features which bother you depending on your personal taste.  First, since it’s about average for real penis sizes, it’s a bit on the small side, especially lengthwise, with regards to its size compared to other dildos.  Also, if you prefer your dildos to look realistic, clearly the rainbow coloring of this toy might be too much for you.  Since it’s a smooth, non-textured shape, this also makes it a less realistic toy.  And, finally, it’s worth repeating that since this is a silicone toy, it is not compatible with silicone lubricants.

Overall, the Rainbow Amor is a great dildo.  Not only is it a nice, friendly, average-size with a good shape for G-spot stimulation and pleasant, giving texture, it is also a beautiful rainbow color that pretty much guarantees it will be the belle of the ball at any Pride celebration.

Sometimes, a girl wants a big, sparkly, crazy, purple schlong to wear while parading around the house as a mystical unicorn.  Other times, she knows that the best silicone dildo is one that blends in with the crowd by being delightfully realistic, of average size, and a lovely combination of form and function.  Glitter and swirls have their place, but if you’re looking for a high-quality dildo that has those realistic attributes and won’t intimidate your crush when you stand next to him at the urinal, this might be just the one you’re looking for!

  • Toy: Mark (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Realistic dildo, harness-compatible
  • Manufacturer: Tantus
  • Material: Silicone
  • Price: $83
  • SMT rating: N/A

It may be average in terms of size, but for realism and delightfulness, the Mark is anything but

The Mark dildo by Tantus is in some ways a breath of fresh air in the world of sex toys: it’s surprisingly difficult to find a good, realistic dildo that isn’t significantly larger-than-average in terms of length and/or girth.  Thankfully, Mark is not only incredibly realistic looking and feeling, it’s also of a nice, average size, making it pleasant to use and to wear without being intimidating or requiring extensive warm-up.

Like the Vixskin Bandit, the Mark is made from two layers of silicone: a hard silicone inside, and softer, more flexible silicone outside.  This gives it a surprisingly realistic feel, and the carefully detailed outside (complete with veins and faux urethral opening) match the texture with lifelike visuals.  At about 6″ long and 1.5″ wide, the Tantus Mark is quite close to the average American penis size.  It has a flared base that is strap-on harness-compatible.  Since it’s made from silicone, it’s easy to clean and sterilize and is safe to use with any water-based lubes (but don’t use silicone lubes with it).

Thanks to the dual-silicone nature of the Mark, it’s realistic feeling.  This also gives it some flexibility, so it’s easy to get the angle right and find a comfortable fit for the toy.  (For comparison with the Vixskin Bandit, the Mark felt a little firmer and less flexible than the Bandit; however, since the Bandit is much larger than the Mark, it’s difficult to tell whether that’s due to size or brand.)  Again, it’s difficult to overstate how nice and realistic the toy looks and feels.  The only slightly unrealistic look to the toy comes from its shiny head, but this may be a plus for people who don’t want their toy to look too real. The shininess of the head also makes it a nice attention-drawer.  The flared base makes the Mark perfect for putting in a strap-on harness, as well as making it safe for anal play.

The only downside that you might find with the Mark is if you’re looking for a realistic harness-compatible dildo that also has a realistic scrotum and testicles, since Mark lacks these attributes.  But if you don’t like that sort of thing, then their absence is a plus.  Other than that, the Mark is a nice, basic, realistic and nicely average-sized dildo with the added complexity and enjoyment of the double-silicone layers to give it a sexy feel.

Finding a large, comfortable, body safe dildo can be a challenge.  Thankfully, Vixen’s VixSkin line offers the Bandit – the most realistic-looking and -feeling dildo that I’ve ever encountered. Whether you’re playing solo, using a harness, or holding it by hand, this is a wonderfully versatile and enjoyable premium toy.

  • Toy:  Bandit (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Realistic dildo, harness-compatible
  • Manufacturer: Vixen
  • Material: Vixskin silicone
  • Price: $100
  • SMT rating: N/A

Get ready for the Bandit to steal your heart

Let’s address the most prominent feature of the Bandit first: this is easily the most realistic dildo that I’ve ever encountered.  It looks spot-on, complete with some skin wrinkles, slightly protruding veins, and an attached scrotum and testicles.  More noticeable, though, is how realistic the Bandit feels.  Vixen made the Bandit a dual-density silicone dildo; the center of the toy is made of quite firm silicone, but the outside is made of a softer, more pliable silicone.  This layering of softer-over-harder, combined with the velvety feel of Vixskin silicone, makes the Bandit feel very close to the real thing.  Neither layer is hard enough to keep the toy from being flexible.

The second feature of note in the Bandit is its size.  At 7″ long and 1.75″ in diameter, the Bandit is quite a bit larger than the average penis, and so is excellent for those who would like a more filling toy.  It is narrower and softer at the head of the penis, which makes it easier to insert.   The Bandit’s size also makes it an impressive eye-catcher when it’s used in a strap-on harness, as we will discuss further below.

The Bandit makes an excellent toy for both solo and partnered play.  Its realistic feel is perfect for fantasy purposes and also provides it with a nice flexibility.  This flexibility makes the toy easy to use despite its large size; since it is more pliable to the touch, it responds more to the body’s direction and is less likely to start poking in uncomfortable ways.  Of course, the hefty size (particularly the thickness) means that you should use lots of high-quality (non-silicone) lube and move at a slower pace.  But once you’re ready for the Bandit, its more flexible nature will make thrusting with the toy go more smoothly than with a harder dildo.  This also makes the Bandit more ideal for partnered play than harder dildos, since a partner using this toy can do so with less risk of accidentally causing discomfort.

As a final plus, the Bandit is strap-on compatible with any harness that can work around its scrotum-and-testicle base.  Its realistic look and above-average size make it a particularly visually pleasing strap-on harness, and, again, its more forgiving consistency means that it’s easier to use in a pleasurable way.  Plus, its firmer core means it transmits a good amount of pressure to the wearer’s body through the harness, which will make any sort of strap-on intercourse more pleasurable for the dildo-wearing partner.  It could also conceivably be used for a packing dildo, since it’s flexible enough to be maneuvered down a pant leg–you better be ready to have a very large and noticeable package, though, if you’re going to do this!

There are only a couple points about the Bandit that should be considered before diving in on getting this premium toy.  First, again, it’s a sizable toy; make sure your eyes aren’t bigger than your orifices of choice!  Additionally, if you don’t prefer toys that are realistic-seeming or might be grossed out by one that is fairly life-like, you might want to considering passing on the Bandit, since it’s a lot like the real thing.  Finally–and I’m sad that this is the case–some partners can get intimidated by sex toys and feel insecure about their own bodies or prowess.  If you have such a partner, they may find the Bandit particularly daunting due to its realism and large size.

It seems like a simple idea, but it can be difficult to find a good insertable toy that is flexible enough to be “posed” how one wants it, but firm enough that it can actually be used for serious intimate play.  Mr. Bendy to the rescue!  This adorable, friendly-looking toy from Vibratex is just what you need when you want a toy you can mold to your desires.

  • Toy:  Mr. Bendy (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Dildo, packy, flexible, poseable
  • Manufacturer: Vibratex
  • Material: Elastomer
  • Price: $65
  • SMT rating: N/A

The friendly Mr. Bendy will adapt to your needs

Toy-makers are starting to catch on that I can’t resist toys with friendly smiley faces!  Today, we have Mr. Bendy by Vibratex, who sports an endearing happy face right on his frenulum area.  This, however, is not Mr. Bendy’s main feature, nor is it the attractive blue or pink colors that he comes in.
As you might guess, Mr. Bendy’s real claim to fame is his flexibility.  This toy–which is comfortably squishy, but firm enough for insertion purposes–has a wire frame inside, meaning that you can bend it to your desired position and then it should hold that shape.  So you can bend and twist Mr. Bendy so that he gets just the right spot on you or your partner.  Additionally, female-to-male transpeople or others who make use of “packies” can bend him to fit in their pants if they want to give themselves impressive bulges.  Additionally, the flared base on Mr. Bendy makes him compatible with strap-on harnesses or for anal play; the squishy feeling of his elastomer material may make this base more comfortable in a strap-on harness than many other harness-compatible toys.
Although Mr. Bendy’s elastomer is not as bad as many flexible materials we’ve tested, his squishy covering can still manage to attract stray hairs at times, particularly if you are a pet owner.  And, in his blue form, Mr. Bendy’s material can seem to gain a “dusty” looking appearance over time.  Some reviewers have reported that, while Mr. Bendy’s wire frame is fairly good at retaining its shape, it can wear out of over prolonged rough play.  It hasn’t had a wire poke through the toy’s material or anything similarly dangerous, but has lost its shape during longer play sessions.
Overall, if you are looking for a more flexible, comfortable alternative to the firmer toys that many manufacturers make, or want a pants package that is sure to draw some stares and can also be used for intimate play, Mr. Bendy will be happy to please you, smiling all the while.
