  • Toy: Ola (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Rechargeable vibrator, mostly button-free controls, touch-responsive vibration, waterproof
  • Manufacturer: Minna
  • Material: Silicone
  • Price: $165
  • SMT rating: Strong 0 if you squeeze hard, but not quite a 1.

The sex toy industry is always looking for the newest, fanciest, prettiest way to seduce you into purchasing a brand new best friend.  Sometimes, these attempts are gimmicky flops, but every now and then one of their crazy ideas really hits the spot, if I ain’t being too subtle.  The Ola by Minna (aka the Minna Ola) gives us a truly original way to control the power of this S-shaped, waterproof, rechargeable sex toy.  The underside of the small part of the S is a squeezable, soft, enticing little touch-pad that reacts to pressure.  Stroke it softly, and it responds with an immediate rumbling purr.  The harder you squeeze it, the more intense the vibrations get, culminating in a very respectable intensity level.

The Minna Ola lets you make your own vibration patterns and control them by touch

The Minna Ola is rechargeable, and its recharger connection is magnetic, which makes it easy to line up and attach.  Thoughtfully, the Ola lets you know how charged it is by vibrating one to three times (three being fully charged) when it’s turned on; this is much more useful for people who are visually impaired than the “blinking light” method of demonstrating charge that many other toys use.  The S-shape of the toy works with the body in all sorts of delightful ways, whether you use it on the vulva or in the vagina.  The main draw, of course, is the touch-responsiveness.  You can use this to create all sorts of fun sensations and patterns, and when you find a favorite, you can use the second button on the toy to memorize and repeat a pattern until you want to give it a new one.  The Ola even comes fully charged, so you can start playing with it right away!
The touch-responsiveness of the Ola may be a downside, depending on what you like from a toy.  If you enjoy upping the vibration intensity or flipping through patterns by simply hitting a button, you may find the touch-pad too fussy a way of controlling the toy.  While this touch-vibration style makes it a great toy for exploring, either with a partner or solo, the creativity necessary to use it effectively keeps it from being totally effortless.  It’s intuitive, but not effortless.  The body isn’t flexible, which could be a plus or a minus, depending on what you’re looking for.  Finally, like any other silicone toy, you need to use water-based lubes, not silicone-based, with the Ola.
Overall, the Ola is a cool new type of  vibrator.  Its touch pad is intuitive and easy to use and allows you to let your creativity shine in what sorts of patterns you make for yourself (or your partner).  It’s a fun, sexy toy, and while the touch-pad is certainly unique, it isn’t a cheap gimmick.  The Minna Ola is being sold exclusively through Babeland, and I appreciate that they sent me a copy of this delicious toy for review.

Fun Factory has always had a unique and light-hearted design ethic that I really like.  Maybe it’s our shared German heritage, but the smooth, round lines and bright colors are a reminder that sex toys are meant to be fun.  Recently, they’ve been moving toward waterproof, rechargeable vibes of a more premium quality.  Although I miss their old mid-range items, I have to say that it’s really nice having waterproof rechargeable products from them with the same thumpy, hearty vibration as always.  The Yooo, by Fun Factory, is definitely unique in a surprisingly functional way.  I’ve been calling mine “Bubbles,” but that doesn’t really do it justice.  Anyway, check out the video and see for yourself what makes this one special.

  • Toy: Yooo (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Rechargeable vibrator, outtie, waterproof
  • Manufacturer: Fun Factory
  • Material: Silicone and plastic
  • Price: $119
  • SMT rating: N/A (Would be an SMT 1 if it were an innie; multiple levels of vibrations and throbby pulsation modes.  Has 2 vibrators inside, making it even stronger)

The Fun Factory Yooo's cute, unique shape make it an excellent outtie vibe for women and men

The Yooo is a pleasantly shaped outtie vibrator made of three bubbly spheres.  It’s about 4.75″ long and 2.5″ wide, and is made from silicone and ABS plastic.  Like most Fun Factory toys, it’s rechargeable, and its charger uses magnets to attach to the toy.  Since this means there isn’t any sort of hole for a cord to go in, the Yooo is entirely waterproof.  It has two motors inside, and has strong, thumpy vibrations, particularly on its higher pulsation settings.  Besides the usual “Plus” and “Minus” buttons to control the speed and setting, the Yooo also has a “Turbo” button that, when pressed, sends the toy into a high, strong vibration for when you need that extra little kick to push you over the edge.  The button area is backlit and seems to light up even when merely jostled (instead of only when a button is pressed), which is cute and makes it easy to find the buttons even in the dark.  The Yooo is an outtie-only vibrator, meant to stimulate the clitoris, vaginal opening, labia, or even the penis and scrotum in your life.   It shouldn’t be used as an innie vibrator, but it’s excellent for what it’s meant to do!

Since it’s Fun Factory, it goes without saying that the Yooo is high-quality and has captured my heart.  It’s cute and non-intimidating and comes in a variety of adorable colors.  The bulbous shape makes it easy to grip, even for those with poor hand strength.  Its shape lends itself equally well to stimulating a clitoris as stroking up and down a penis.  It has lots of strong levels of vibration, and all the pulsation settings are pleasantly strong.  The Turbo button is an excellent additional touch that other toy manufacturers could learn from.

I have very few complaints about the Yooo.  Foremost would be that the buttons are all small and a bit hard to press, especially the Minus button.  For those who are visually disabled, if you can’t see the magnetic charging attachment light up when correctly aligned with the toy, it may be difficult to tell when the toy is charging correctly and when it is fully charged.  Finally, it’s disappointing that the Yooo isn’t being marketed toward men as well as women, because it makes a perfectly enjoyable boy toy!

Overall, the Yooo is yet another well-made, interesting and original toy from Fun Factory that is high-quality and enjoyable.

Sometimes you don’t want lots of bells and whistles, but just something simple and pleasant that does one thing and does it well.  If you’re in that sort of mood, then the Buzzlet, by Miuzu, may be just the toy you’re looking for.  This simple hard plastic toy (with some elastomer coating on one side) has simple one-button controls, easy charging method, and a shape that makes it easy to play with externally or insert and enjoy internally.

  • Toy: Buzzlet (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Innie, rechargeable, waterproof
  • Manufacturer: Miuzu
  • Material: Hard plastic and elastomer
  • Price: $80
  • SMT rating: 0 (Moderate rumbly vibration)

The Buzzlet is a nice, simple and functional internal toy

The Buzzlet is about 4 inches long and 1 inch thick and is totally waterproof.  It has a small hole that isn’t big enough to fit a finger into, but which does help get a slightly better grip on its end.  The main reason that this whole is there, though, is for the Buzzlet’s unique inductive charging station.  Unlike most other rechargeable toys, the Buzzlet doesn’t have a port to plug a cord into, nor does it have metal contact plates that need to be touching matching plates on its cradle. Instead, this toy just gets set onto its little cradle station (that has a post which fits through the hole), and voila, it’s charging!  The lack of any holes or metal plates ensures its water-safeness and makes it easier to set-and-forget for charging than toys that may not sit in their cradle quite right.

In terms of use, the Buzzlet is easy to work with.  The one button on this little vibe turns it on and off and scrolls through the different strengths and vibration patterns.  The Buzzlet has a moderate intensity, rumbly sort of vibration.  It’s a decent bit louder than many of the other toys we review here at EI, so keep that in mind if you like your toys quiet and super-discreet.  It’s a nice size and shape for setting to your vibration of choice and then inserting vaginally and holding it in while you touch yourself externally; since it’s only 4″ long, many women may be able to fully insert it and hold it in by tensing.  Or, as with the previously reviewed Soraya and Alia, rope bondage enthusiasts can surely find some interesting uses for a toy with a hole in it!

Those who like their toys to have a bit more variety of functionality and more specific controls (such as the three-button system of many Lelo toys) may not find the Buzzlet to be quite to their taste.  Additionally, as stated before, those who like their toys whisper-quiet are also recommended to look elsewhere.   Finally, as a word of warning that must be made with any toy without a flared based, particularly one this small, do not attempt to use the Buzzlet for anal stimulation.  This toy would be very easy to “lose” anally, since it is thin and short with no wideness at the base.

Seduction may use all the senses, but we all know that first impressions are key.  For a toy, that means that sleek, elegant, and beautiful designs can make all the difference in winning their owner’s heart!  Lelo’s Soraya is one of those toys that catches your eye from the moment you open its box, and holds your gaze with its smooth lines and metallic highlights.  The optical seduction continues once you put it to work, as it lights up during play!  Plus, nothing says “I want to please you” like giving someone a present, and this innie/outtie combination toy does just that by coming with a little brooch in its packaging.  Find out more about this premium toy from Lelo below!

  • Toy: Soraya (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Innie/outtie combo, vibrator, waterproof
  • Manufacturer: Lelo
  • Material: Silicone and ABS plastic (metallic-coated)
  • Price: $199
  • SMT rating: 1 (rumbly and satisfying when low, throbbing and intense when high)

The stunning Soraya is a classy innie/outtie toy

If there is one thing Lelo knows well, it is how to make toys that are aesthetic and sophisticated-looking.  The Soraya is a gorgeous innie/outtie combination vibrator by this premium toy company, and it absolutely meets their usual high quality standards.

The Soraya is made from silicone (for the pink or black outer portion) and metallic-coated plastic, giving it a sleek design.  It’s about 8.5″ long, with 5″ of that length being insertable, and is about 1.5″ thick at its widest point.  This innie/outtie toy has two vibrating motors, one for the internal portion and one for the outer clitoral stimulator.  It’s rechargeable and totally waterproof, and it runs for about 4 hours on a full charge.  Plus it lights up when running, giving it a cool futuristic look in a dark environment.

The vibration of the Soraya is fairly intense.  In addition, the dual vibrators allow you to have a plethora of pattern options, as you can not only set the toy to buzz or pulse, but also have just one motor on, or have the motors pulse separately, or a variety of other settings.  Even on its highest setting, the Soraya is still pleasantly quiet.  The metallic loop on the holding end makes a great finger-hold (which you should use to avoid hitting the buttons by accident), and this makes the Soraya a particularly good toy of choice for those who have a weak grip and have difficulty handling other toys.

It’s important to note that the Soraya is an entirely firm toy (though the clitoral stimulator can angle up and down to more easily conform to your body) and so may not be appropriate for those who prefer softer, more flexible insertables.  Also, a thorough cleaning of this toy may be a slightly more time-consuming task than with some others, because the thin gaps around the buttons and between the metallic-plastic and silicone will require a Q-tip or similar implement in order to be totally cleaned.  Still, overall, this is a gorgeous and high-quality innie/outtie combination vibrator; yet another thumbs-up for Lelo!

We all know that, usually, the sequel to something isn’t nearly as good as the original.  Apparently, however, this rule doesn’t apply to vibrators!  Jimmyjane’s Form 3 is just as unique and pleasurable as the Form 2, if not more so!  Read on to learn more about this one-of-a-kind toy.

  • Toy: Form 3 (sent by Babeland.com for review)
  • Type: Outtie vibrator, rechargeable, waterproof
  • Manufacturer: Jimmyjane
  • Material: Silicone and stainless steel
  • Price: $145
  • SMT rating: N/A (outtie toy; fairly high intensity, especially a toy of this size)

Jimmyjane's unique new toy gives your fingers some extra power

When I reviewed Jimmyjane’s Form 2, I was struck by the original “bunny ears” shape of the little rechargeable toy that made it unique and versatile.  Well, Jimmyjane has one-upped themselves on originality with the Form 3, which is unlike any other toy I’ve reviewed.  This little handheld toy, made out of silicone and stainless steel (the latter is all interior except for the charging nub on the bottom) has a sleek, contoured shape that is made to enhance your finger’s touch with a hearty vibration.

The Form 3 has a difficult to describe shape, so you’re best off watching the video to see it up close and personal.  The portion of it that is made to make contact with you is made of a circular silicone “ridge” that surrounds a sheet of thin (but strong, worry not) silicone that forms a divot shape.  This indentation is perfect for you to slip your finger into while you hold the toy, allowing you to touch yourself with the Form 3’s healthy buzz adding a new zip to your finger.  Yes, the Form 3 looks small, but it has a powerful motor, giving it a surprisingly strong (though not overwhelming) vibration.  It remains relatively quiet even at its highest setting and has a variety of different settings for pulsation, steady buzz, etc.  Plus it has a bunch of neat extra features, like the ability to lock the controls for travel and the fact that it immediately returns to its last setting when you turn it back on.

As usual for Jimmyjane, the Form 3 is made from high-quality silicone and so is phthalate-free.  It’s waterproof and easy to clean!  Just make sure you’re using a nice water-based lube, not silicone, with it, and you’re ready to go!  It even comes with a 3-year warranty.  It recharges in a cradle, same as the Form 2, and has a light that indicates when it’s charging when it’s fully charged and ready to run.  The Form 3 lasts for up to seven hours off a full charge, so it can keep you company through a very long night!

I can’t say enough good things about the Form 3.  It’s a premium vibrator that innovates and comes up with fantastic new ways to help you pleasure yourself!

I imagine that if I had a fairy godmother, she would show up with a vibrating kind of magic wand.  She wouldn’t get very far if it had an electrical cord on it.  So my fairy postal delivery person brought me this cordless wand-style vibrator from Babeland.com to review, just for you!  I keep wondering if the delivery people ever talk to each other about how I get so many sex toys, and, if so, are they jealous?  Anyway, on to more important things!

Rechargeable Magic Wand is a Little Quieter than the Hitachi and Almost as Strong

The Rechargeable Magic Wand is, as you might guess from the name, a cordless, rechargeable wand-style vibrator similar to the famed Hitachi Magic Wand. For a full compare-and-contrast session between this toy, the Hitachi Magic Wand, and the Mystic Wand, check out my recent video all about their differences.
The Rechargeable Magic Wand has a sturdy plastic body and a squishy silicone head.  The “head” portion of the wand can be removed for easy washing between uses.  It can be used as an outie vibrator, body massager, or–with the correct attachments–an innie or innie/outie combo vibrator.
Despite being a cordless, rechargeable vibrator, the Rechargeable Magic Wand is quite strong; make sure to use lots of (water-based) lube to keep its stimulation from being too intense!  It’s fairly quiet for its power, and can run for quite awhile on a full charge.  It also holds its charge well; our testers said that it still worked after a week or more away from its charger.  The one negative to this wand is that it can’t be charged indefinitely.  After reaching a full charge, it needs to be unplugged, or else the over-charging will damage the battery’s lifespan.  This makes the Rechargeable Magic Wand slightly less convenient than toys that can be left in charging cradles, but since it manages to hold its charge well after being unplugged, it isn’t a big problem.
For more information on how to use this toy (or any wand-style vibrator), check out the video above, and then the wand comparison video to figure out which one (or more than one!) matches your tastes best!
